Jan Semotán, MOL Czech Republic

He has been responsible for retail at MOL Czech Republic since April 2022. Previously, his name was mainly associated with the Tesco chain and its subsidiaries, where he worked for almost 15 years. During his career there, he held several positions, both in operations and at headquarters. Among other responsibilities, he was in chargé of the security department and managed the hypermarket format for both the Czech Republic and Slovakia. He last served as the general manager of Tesco Mobile CZ/SK, where he was responsible for the management and strategic development of the virtual operator, which Tesco operates together with O2.

At MOL, he leads the retail activities and a team of 50 people. He is also a member of the company’s senior management.
